Building an Inclusive Classroom Multi-part Series -A multi-part series that provides key classroom strategies that promote inclusive practices and support all educators. Key topics include collaboration, relationship building, differentiated & universally designed instruction, and acceptance of diversity.
CAST - At CAST, we know that barriers to learning are in education design, not individual learners. We invented UDL to help break down these barriers so that all learners can shape their own learning journey and reach their potential. We elevate learning at every level with meticulous research and innovative professional development.
High-Leverage Practices - In partnership with the Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability, and Reform (CEEDAR), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) developed and published a set of high-leverage practices (HLPs) for special educators and teacher candidates. The HLPs are organized into four domains: Collaboration, Data-Driven Planning, Instruction in Behavior and Academics, and Intensify and Intervene as Needed. Each domain has pillars and embedded practices infused with culturally inclusive pedagogies.

We support schools around the globe by sharing tools and strategies to increase opportunities for students with disabilities and build knowledge of inclusive education.
IRIS Center- The IRIS Center develops and disseminates free, engaging online resources about evidence-based instructional and behavioral practices to support the education of all students, particularly struggling learners and those with disabilities. These resources, designed to bridge the research-to-practice gap, are intended for use in college teacher preparation programs, in professional development (PD) activities for practicing professionals, and by independent learners. The array of IRIS resources includes modules, case studies, information briefs, course/PD activities, a high-leverage practices alignment tool, and an online glossary of disability-related terms as well as supporting products to enhance their use in coursework and PD activities.
NJDOE Special Education Policy and Procedures- The Office of Special Education (OSE) implements state and federal laws and regulations governing special education to ensure that students with disabilities in New Jersey receive a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). This website includes federal and state code, along with guidebooks for discipline, restraint, and transportation for students with disabilities.
New Jersey Inclusion Project - The New Jersey Department of Education and the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education are pleased to announce the availability of free Technical Assistance, longer-term Systemic Change projects, leadership development events, and additional materials and resources to support inclusive education and to promote continuous improvement to increase positive outcomes for students with disabilities, ages 5-21.
