M.A. School Administration
The M.A. in School Administration positions graduates to become collaborative leaders in P-12 learning organizations. The aim of the program is to develop the dynamic and transformative leaders that the schools of today demand. The program, along with a passing score on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA), fulfills the requirements established by the New Jersey Department of Education for state certification as a public school administrator in positions such as director, principal, assistant/vice principal, and supervisor.
The coursework is offered entirely online and requires the completion of 36 graduate semester hours or 12 courses. The program includes two face-to-face required meetings, as well as additional optional synchronous opportunities. Following the suggested course sequence, students will complete the program in seven consecutive semesters: taking one course at a time during each 8-week module during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Students have the flexibility to progress through the program at their own pace though and could complete the program in less time depending on their individual circumstances.
