Alumni Spotlight on Research
The 2018 Susan Lytle Practitioner Research Award recipient is Laura Barry for her outstanding thesis titled Close reading strategies applied by English Language Learners when reading challenging content area texts. Ms. Barry graduated in 2017 with a MA in Reading and specialization as a Reading Specialist.
Ms. Barry has been awarded $500 and her name has been permanently added to the Susan L. Lytle Practitioner Research Award plaque posted in Department of Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Education in James Hall.
