Changes Coming to the TOSD Undergraduate Post-Baccalaureate Program
Beginning Fall 2025, the format of the TOSD Post-Baccalaureate program will change. While you may see it referred to as a face-to-face program, it will include a mix of course formats:
- Fully online (asynchronous)
- Online with live sessions/learning activities (synchronous)
- In-person classes
Depending on your coursework, you may still be able to complete the program without coming to campus. You may also be able to transfer credits from your initial certification program to fulfill some of the foundational requirements for the TOSD Endorsement.
For more information or help planning your next steps, contact Program Coordinator Michelle Damiani (damiani@rowan.edu) or Academic Advisor Lesley Mateo (mateo@rowan.edu).
Instructional Certification
Possession of a standard or provisional (CEAS) NJ instructional certificate with an endorsement appropriate to the subject or grade level to be taught is required. If you have not yet applied for instructional certification, please see the NJ DOE website for details and a listing of instructional endorsements.

Program Advisement
It is necessary that you meet with Lesley Mateo (mateo@rowan.edu) prior to beginning the program. She will be happy to meet with you to discuss the program. To schedule an appointment, you can contact her via email. In addition, office hours are posted outside of each faculty member's door. Feel free to come in during the posted office hours.
Once in the program, it is strongly advised that you communicate Dr. Mateo each semester, to discuss your progress and to answer any questions that you might have. Ongoing communication is the best way to ensure successful completion of the program.
