Mandated Requirements
As of July 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education requires all certification/licensing programs to post on their website:
*A list of all states/jurisdictions where the institution’s curriculum meets state educational requirements for professional licensure or certification.
* A list of all states/jurisdictions where the institution’s curriculum does not meet state educational requirements for professional licensure or certification.
* A list of all states/jurisdictions where the institution has not made a determination of whether or not the curriculum meets educational requirements.
**A Does Not Meet or Information Not Known (Have Not Made a Determination) does not indicate that you will be unable to obtain certification or licensure in your home state.
Many states participate in the NASDTEC or other Reciprocity Agreements that facilitate the transfer of teaching licenses.
Please check with your advisor and consult the specific state board of education for more information.
