Reading Clinic Tutors

Both graduate and undergraduate students who are specializing in reading instruction provide assessment and tutoring for school aged children. The Reading Clinic was designed to provide dual purpose. First it was developed to provide opportunities for Rowan University pre-service teachers to develop skills as teachers of reading and writing. In the summer, teachers working towards a MA in Reading and Reading Specialist certification tutor in the clinic.

Secondly, the design provides for literary assessment and instruction to students’ grades K-12. The ratio of instruction is maintained at either 1:1 or 2:1 and has been presented in both virtual and on-campus formats.
