Biography

Dr. Joy Xin received her Ed.D. from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Her research interests include instructional technology for students with disabilities, behavior management, and teacher education of special education. She is currently teaching Research in Special Education, Positive Behavior Support for Students with Disabilities, Clinical Experience and Seminar in Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction in Special Education. She is a member of the state Advisory Board on Alternate Assessments. She was the program coordinator of the M.A. in Special Education, Graduate Endorsement Program and Graduate Studies in Special Education and department chairperson for two terms. Currently, she is a professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Education.
