Biography
Dr. Peng Wang is an Associate Teaching Professor of Counseling in Educational Settings in the Department of Wellness and Inclusive Services in Education. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of Rochester. She teaches courses in school counseling and is deeply committed to advising and mentoring graduate students. She is passionate about creating supportive and empowering learning environments that help students grow professionally and personally throughout their graduate studies.
Her research interests focus on understanding and serving the needs of international students pursuing counseling training in the United States, as well as exploring the evolving role of school counselors in the era of AI.
Prior to joining Rowan University, Dr. Wang worked as a mental health therapist at Community Counseling & Mediation, a nonprofit agency in New York City serving diverse communities. She also previously served as a school counselor in Massachusetts.
