Biography
Dr Lu’s research interests include counseling professional identity, impact of trauma on P-20 students, and interventions for success of P-20 student from socially marginalized groups. He utilizes qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches to explore and examine above topics. Dr. Lu has published articles in counseling related peer reviewed journals, and has presented at national and regional conferences. He is also a member of The Professional Counselor’s Editorial Review Board, and a reviewer of Journal of Counselor Leadership and Advocacy. In the 2018-2019 academic year, Dr. Lu teaches Introduction to Counseling and Guidance, Counseling Interviewing Skills and Techniques, Practicum in Counseling in Educational Settings, and Assessment and Appraisal Procedures in Counseling in Educational Settings.
