Biography

Dr. Ray Foley is a graduate of the University of Delaware (B.A., M.Ed.) and Argosy University (Ed.D.).  He has 35 years of secondary social studies and English teaching experience, as well as school administration experience, at John Dickinson High School and Salesianum School, both in Wilmington, Delaware.   His research interests involve multiple aspects of the student teaching experience, specifically, candidate expectations about teaching and the impact of the clinical experience on those expectations.  He is currently teaching Characteristics of Knowledge Acquisition, Teaching and Learning in the Social Studies (B), and is supervising several clinical practice candidates.
