Biography

Alicia M. Drelick is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Education (IIE) and Coordinator of the B.A. in Inclusive Education. Dr. Drelick is passionate about improving the lives of children with disabilities. Her work and research are largely focused on assistive technology, Universal Design for Learning, assessment in special education, and supporting learners with Autism. Recently, she was nominated co-chair of the RESNA K-12 Special Interest Group. Dr. Drelick presents her work at local and national conferences and is currently working toward publishing in academic journals. Dr. Drelick is from Philadelphia, PA. After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware, she taught Autistic Support for the School District of Philadelphia for over six years. This is where she found her passion for working with children with Autism and Assistive Technology. Dr. Drelick attended Drexel University for her Doctoral Degree with her dissertation focusing on technology’s role in progress monitoring non-academic IEP goals.
