Biography
Dr. Browne received her doctorate in Reading, Writing and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches undergraduate and graduate reading courses and serves as a research advisor to Masters students in the reading program in the Department of Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Education. Dr. Browne teaches doctoral courses in the Literacy Ph.D. Program for the College of Education’s Center for Access, Success and Equity. Her research interests and publications are in the areas of multicultural literature, reader response, critical and urban education.
