Certificate of Graduate Study in Reading/Writing Literacy sponsored by Reading Department in the College of Education and the Writing Arts Department in the College of Communication.

Program Description
This program meets the increasing need for highly qualified practitioners in the area of Reading/Writing Literacy. This program benefits classroom teachers K-12 who wish to increase their knowledge of literacy instruction. Courses in this program also enable teachers to apply for National Board Certification by building content area knowledge in reading and writing. The COGS in Reading/Writing Literacy does not lead to any state certification. All courses carry over to either the MA in Writing or the MA in Reading as appropriate.
