Biography

Dr. Mark Silverstein became the Glassboro School District superintendent in July 2009. With his vision of data-driven instruction, Silverstein has enhanced education in the Glassboro Public School District while maintaining conservative spending practices. Under Silverstein, the school district has consistently involved the community in the Strategic Planning Process.

During his tenure, he has created greater opportunities for South Jersey students by introducing school choice through the Fine & Performing Arts and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Academies. The superintendent sits on the Board of Directors for the NJ Inter-District Public School Choice Association.
