The College of Education's Research Talk Series showcases the innovative work of our faculty through engaging discussions on a wide range of educational topics. Each session is led by one of our faculty members, offering fresh insights, sharing research findings, and exploring contemporary issues in education. The series aims to foster intellectual curiosity, promote dialogue, and connect attendees with cutting-edge developments that shape the future of education. This series is presented by the Diversity in Action Committee and Dr. Molly Fisher, Associate Dean of Research & Innovation.

Lunch & Learn Virtual Panel on AI

Description: We will be hosting a virtual “Lunch and Learn” panel focusing on the use of AI in teaching and research.  This panel is going to be held on Tuesday, November 19th, noon-1pm. Please mark your calendars for this virtual webinar held on Webex.  We will have College of Education faculty and other “friends of Education and AI” joining the panel to share their experiences and work in this area before we open the floor for dialogue.

Cultural Adaptation of the Resilience Education Program in Taiwan: An Exploration with Focus Group Interviews
Led by Dr. Hao-Jan Luh, Assistant Professor,Wellness & Inclusive Services in Education (WISE)
Description: In this talk, findings on a thematic analysis of focus group interviews will be presented. The interviews were conducted to explore school counselors’ and special education teachers’ ideas about potentially adapting and implementing the Resilience Education Program for students in Taiwan.
