Transfer or Rowan Student
Current Rowan non-education majors considering an Education Major can schedule an appointment to meet with the College of Education’s Transfer Advisor by calling 856-256-4420.
If you are currently enrolled at another institution and wish to transfer to Rowan University, you must apply to Rowan through the Office of Admissions to the program of your choice. Once enrolled, you will follow the guidelines under current Rowan student. You may wish to view information about evaluation and transfer through the Office of the Registrar.
Bachelor's degree in non-education field
The Master of Science in Teaching Program leads to certification plus a master's degree. Students interested in this program must apply and provide appropriate Praxis scores. This program is a full time program available for Elementary and Subject Matter certification.
The Master of Arts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education offers the unique opportunity for students who have undergraduate degrees in mathematics, engineering, or the sciences to pursue an initial New Jersey teaching certificate in mathematics and/or the sciences and a Master's degree simultaneously. This 13-month program includes an early field experience, face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses, and a yearlong teacher residency.
Post-Baccalaureate & Graduate Certification Programs
The College of Education offers an array of Post-Baccalaureate and Graduate level programs that meet the academic requirements for certification as established by the New Jersey Department of Education.
