Mometrix

To access Mometrix, follow these steps:

1. on the edu home page, enter Praxis Resources in the search box
2. scroll down in the column on left to Mometrix Test Prep, click on it
3. log in using your Rowan ID and password
4. scroll down the list to find your test, click on it (check with your advisor if you are unsure about which test you will need to take)
5. you will see the four Mometrix resources that are available to you:

• A content-specific “Secrets Study Guide.” This is a 500+ page online text that will help you review the content areas covered by your Praxis II test.  This is a $45.00 text that is free to Rowan students.   A practice test should reveal areas of weakness that can then be reviewed in this Study Guide.
• Exam Flashcards. Hundreds of digital interactive flashcards – questions with complete answers on the back – subdivided by topics or areas, aid in the review process.
• Interactive Exam Test Questions. An interactive practice exam that provides the test taker with an explanation of why selected answers are correct or incorrect.
• Practice Questions. Practice tests, videos, and exam review for the subject test.

PrepSTEP

To access PrepSTEP, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Campbell Library home page or enter https://www.lib.rowan.edu/campbell in your browser.
2. On the Library home page, scroll down to Quick Links
3. Under Quick Links, scroll down to – and click on – PrepSTEP Express Library
4. Log in using your Rowan credentials or set up a free account with the Campbell Library
5. In the large search box at the top of the page, enter Praxis + your exam. For example, enter Praxis Social Studies, or Praxis Elementary Education.  Some disciplines offer multiple tests so be sure you select the correct test. Check with your advisor if you are unsure.
6. You will immediately see a drop-down menu with two sample interactive practice tests.
7. Each interactive practice test provides instant answers and detailed answer explanations for correct and incorrect responses.

ETS (Educational Testing Service)

ETS** is the company that creates, owns, and administers the Praxis tests and many other standardized admission tests.  It’s a non-profit corporation but they charge for most of their test prep materials. They do offer some free resources.

To access ETS resources, follow these steps:

1. Go to the ETS home page at org
2. Click on Test Takers (top left of screen) and scroll down to Practice for a Test
3. Under Praxis Tests, click on Practice Now.
4. Under Search for Prep Materials by Test, click on Learn More
5. On the next screen, scroll down to the drop-down box and find your test
6. Access the free Study Companion and Study Plan

**Please note that you would have to pay for the ETS interactive practice tests.

   Free practice tests are available on both the Mometrix and PrepSTEP sites.

Quizlet

This site is not connected to, or sponsored by, Rowan University or the College of Education.  Quizlet is a multi-national American company that provides many free online tools for studying and learning.  Quizlet has a variety of free Praxis II resources, such as flashcards, sample tests, and banks of sample test questions. 

 To access Quizlet resources, Google: Quizlet + the Praxis test code.  For example, to access Elementary Education resources, Google: Quizlet 5001.  To access any of the 4 Elementary Education subtests, Google: Quizlet 5002 (Reading); Quizlet 5003 (Math); Quizlet 5004 (Social Studies); or Quizlet 5005 (Science).  Like most Google searches, when you Google any Quizlet test you will reveal pages of results.  Be sure to open only Quizlet sites and not teachercertification.com sites, which charge for their services.
