Minor in Access, Success, and Equity in Education
The Minor in Access, Success, and Equity in Education is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that foster excellence in practice within education organizations and other related institutions with respect to building equitable educational experiences and outcomes.
Students will learn about the history of education, the teaching and learning process, the structure and function of organizations and their administration, leadership approaches for managing diversity in organizations, as well as access, success, and equity issues and potential strategies for ameliorating them.
The curriculum includes a specific focus on the issues of access, success, and equity in education and the ways in which education, leadership, and the educational process can be harnessed for social change and improvement.
