Admissions

Applicants are expected to provide evidence of the following:

• Completion of an M.S., M.A., or equivalent degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
• Official transcripts from all colleges attended
• Current professional resume
• Three (3) letters of recommendation
• Successful Interview

Applicants also provide three essays on the following topics in their application materials:

• Explain your reasons for wanting to enroll in the Educational Leadership Doctoral program. (500 words)
• Define the characteristics of an effective leader. In what ways do you demonstrate those characteristics? In what ways can you improve? (500 words)
• Describe a pressing issue facing education today. If it were your responsibility to address the issue on a national level, how would you approach the problem? With whom would you collaborate to develop your plan? (1,000 words) 

Application Deadline

• Early decision: January 15^th
• Final decision: July 1st
