CUGS in NJ Amistad Law and African American Studies for Future Educators

Africana Studies is an interdisciplinary field that examines the historical and contemporary challenges, experiences, and contributions of Africans, African Americans, and African-descended people worldwide. The Certificate of Undergraduate Study in NJ Amistad Law: African-American Studies for Future Educators provides content knowledge and preparation for future teachers to develop robust lesson plans on African-American history. It will also strengthen the state-wide and local efforts to implement the 2002 Amistad Law and give students a competitive advantage in the job market as the government increases its efforts to enforce the mandate.
