Strategic Partnership Committee

The Strategic Partnership Committee is a collaborative forum that brings together local P–12 superintendents and representatives from the College of Education to engage in ongoing dialogue about the most pressing challenges facing public education today. The Committee is intentionally designed as a relationship-driven space where district and university leaders can think strategically together, share perspectives from the field, and identify opportunities for meaningful partnership. These conversations are grounded in a shared commitment to strengthening educator preparation, advancing equity, and supporting student success across the P–12 continuum.

Through its work, the Committee explores collaborative grant opportunities, considers how we prepare future educators, and engages in discussions that inform collective advocacy with local and state leaders around issues impacting the educator workforce. The Strategic Partnership Committee meets once in the fall and once in the spring, and also plans the annual Summer Convening, which brings a broader group of superintendents to campus for focused dialogue on persistent, complex challenges that require coordinated, strategic approaches. Together, these efforts foster a seamless partnership between the University and its P–12 colleagues – one that is built on trust, shared learning, and collective impact.
