Registration Information for Praxis Examination:

Praxis Core has 3 primary sub-tests that include reading (5713), writing (5723), and mathematics (5733). This examination is the first benchmark required before becoming an education major. A passing score and a grade point average of 3.0 is needed before a candidate can be accepted into the education program. The information on this exam should have been learned in high school. It is highly recommended this exam be taken as early as possible. It is also possible to take all three examinations in a combined format (5752).

Praxis II (5001) consists of multiple subjects (language arts, mathematics, science and social studies) for elementary education majors and the respective Praxis exam for subject-matter majors. This exam is the second benchmark required before a candidate can participate in their clinical experience. Similar to the Praxis Core, a passing score and a grade point average of 3.0 is required.

Special Note:
*The Praxis lab is not equipped to support subject-matter Praxis II examinations and students should refer to his/her subject-matter professors for assistance in this area.
