Erica Watson Brown received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a specialization in Organizational Management from Cabrini University, her Master of Arts in Education and Reading degree from Concordia University. She served as an elementary educator in New Jersey for ten years. Erica’s experience in the public school environment attests to her interest to research the impact of specific federal policies on the educational outcomes of children in urban settings, in particular, P-12. Her research interests include elementary education, teacher preparation programs, and equity in education.

At Rowan University, Erica is a Lecturer for the department of Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Education, in the College of Education. In addition, she is the program coordinator for the Initial Teaching Preparation Program specialization in B.A. Elementary Education (K-6) and has supervised clinical experience/practice interns.
