Biography

Dr. Kye holds a B.A. in early childhood education with special education approval from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. and Ed.D. in curriculum and teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on multicultural, social justice approaches to early childhood education with a focus on science and engineering education. Her professional experience includes work as a kindergarten and second grade teacher, student teaching supervisor, and instructor in graduate courses on inclusive pedagogy and curriculum development. As a professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary and Inclusive Education, Dr. Kye teaches courses on social and emotional development and on diversity, access, and equity within early childhood systems.​
