The Ph.D. in Education program prepares students to become higher education faculty, policy makers and researchers, tackling persistent social justice issues in education. The Ph.D. in Education offers students an opportunity to respond to the region’s, nation’s and world’s most persistent educational challenges; those which obstruct access, success & equity in traditionally underserved communities.

Why Rowan University?

Under the guidance of doctoral program faculty, students will have opportunities to submit peer-reviewed publications; present at national conferences; and collaborate on writing grants. Additionally, students will be provided with a critical, interdisciplinary approach to theory and research, supportive faculty, and intentional development of student’s academic and professionals goals.
